20261025-0000-air-hub-mini-one-side-io Air Hub Mini: all ports and UI on one side

  • status: completed

On 2026-10-24 the owner asked why the key, the M8 and the USB-C were not all on one side ("为什么不把开关,m4 type-c全部放在一侧?"). The split across three walls was a leftover of earlier layouts, not a requirement. All user-facing parts now sit on the left board edge, which has no antenna. From back to front:

  • USB-C, at PCB y 22, level with module pins 13 / 14.
  • PAIR side-push key, at y 32.
  • SYS and RADIO right-angle LEDs, at y 37 and 40.5.
  • M8 panel socket, at y 48 next to J1.

The USB pair is hand-routed on L1 without vias. At the connector, the D− bridge (B7–A7) passes outside the pad tips and the D+ bridge (A6–B6) passes inside. From there the pair runs straight through the ESD array to the module. The enclosure has openings in one wall only.

Acceptance criteria:

  1. Board checks: DRC 0 (unconnected, errors, parity) and EMC 0 errors.
  2. Renders and STL: the renders show all openings in one wall, and the STL files are exported.
  3. Docs: the reference board and the Mini README are updated.
  4. Quality gate: bun run docs:lint && bun run docs:build && git diff --check passes.

Results (2026-10-24):

  • DRC: 0 unconnected, 0 errors, 0 parity. Warnings: 3 library-mismatch, plus 2 silkscreen-edge warnings because the USB-C overhangs the board edge by 0.7 mm.
  • EMC: 14 findings, 0 errors, 8 warnings. The USB skew warning is gone; CANH shows 94 % reference-plane coverage.
  • Docs: reference board R1.14.
  • Unchanged: parts and cost.
