On 2026-10-24 the owner asked why the Mini does not use a side button and side LEDs, and asked for a plain square box ("为什么不用侧边按钮和led？盒子用方方正正的盒子"). The previous concept (task 20261024-2230) put light pipes and a silicone key in the lid and used corner lobes. This task makes these changes:

  • Board: the PAIR key becomes a Panasonic EVQ-P7A01P side-push key (LCSC C79167). SYS (green) and RADIO (blue) become right-angle side-emitting LEDs in the Kingbright APA1606 package. All three move to the right board edge at PCB y 30, 38 and 42.
  • Enclosure: a plain rectangular PC/ABS V-0 box with a flat lid and no lid openings. Four M3 screws go in from the bottom, through the standoffs and the board holes, into lid posts. USB-C is in the back wall, M8 in the left wall, and the PAIR cap and two light pipes are in the right wall.

Acceptance criteria:

  1. Board checks: ERC 0, DRC 0 (unconnected, errors, parity), EMC 0 errors.
  2. Renders and STL: the renders show the key and light pipes at the PCB positions in the right wall, and the lid has no openings. Base and lid STL files are exported.
  3. Docs: the reference board (§2.4, §5.4, §6.1, §7, §7.4), spec and design appendix costs, and the Mini README are updated.
  4. Quality gate: bun run docs:lint && bun run docs:build && git diff --check passes.

Results (2026-10-24):

  • Board: ERC 0. DRC 0 unconnected, 0 errors, 0 parity (3 library-mismatch warnings). EMC 15 findings, 0 errors, 8 warnings.
    • The EMC analyzer was updated and no longer reports return-path continuity. The earlier CANH / CANL reference-plane gap warning was not re-checked.
  • Cost: per-board parts at 100 pcs rise from $17.96 to $18.13. Electronics are $15.5 and the complete unit is $21.2–26.5 (spec R1.19, design appendix R1.14, reference board R1.12).
  • Enclosure: about 97 × 86 × 25 mm.
  • Open:
    • The blue right-angle APA1606 part number and the LCSC codes for both LEDs still need confirming.
    • EVQ-P7A01P showed zero LCSC stock at the snapshot.
    • The vertical XH header with a mated plug still comes close to the lid; S4B-XH-A side entry is advised.
