After task 20260925-0942 the base board had no Wi-Fi (one radio function per model; Ethernet only). The owner asked whether on-board Wi-Fi and BLE were possible; three options were given (A: one ESP32-C6 for Wi-Fi + BLE, dropping Zigbee / Thread; B: u-blox MAYA-W2 tri-radio; C: EFR32MG21 plus one ESP32-C6 for Wi-Fi). The owner chose to add one ESP32-C6. Core-board prices found: Forlinx FET3506J-S 88 CNY; FET3506J-C batch ≤138 CNY tax included, 256 MB / 512 MB DDR3 or 1 GB LPDDR4, 40×29 mm, 10–15 year lifecycle, no Wi-Fi on the module; MYIR MYC-YR3506J 256 MB/256 MB $28, 512 MB/8 GB $56; Forlinx FET113i-S 88 / 138 CNY. The evaluation page and design appendix wrongly give FET3506J-C as 88 CNY.

  • ESP32-C6-MINI-1 on the shared base board of both models, SDIO or SPI to Linux, ESP-Hosted; role is the Wi-Fi uplink only; its BLE and 802.15.4 are not enabled.
  • Spec R0.6: §1 and §2 uplink = Ethernet + Wi-Fi; radio row; §5; §6 firmware chains; §7 compliance (Air Hub: two 2.4 GHz radios; LR: sub-GHz chains + 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi); AIR-O-03 wording.
  • Design R0.4: option D row, §2.2 module table prices, §2.4 Wi-Fi no longer an extension, §2.5 Wi-Fi row, §3 diagram and roles, §6 coexistence, §7 three image chains.
  • Guide R0.3, brief, package index, evaluation page (prices, BOM, note), product plan, open questions, compliance matrix, changelog.
  • Air Hub now carries two 2.4 GHz radios (EFR32MG21 + C6): coexistence (BLE / Zigbee / Thread vs Wi-Fi) must be tested and the RED assessment covers both.
  • This relaxes the one-wireless-per-model principle for the IP uplink; recorded explicitly.
