Spec P05-air-hub.md R1.1 §7 names the regulatory scope in one paragraph (RED and cybersecurity, CRA, EN 300 220 and 47 CFR 15.231 for the 433 MHz link) and carries no certification requirement or verification entry. The compliance matrix lists RED, RoHS, WEEE, GPSR and FCC for the Switch line. Air Hub Pro has a first routed board (/srv/ybo/switch/air_hub_pro/), placed and routed by script.

A design-rule pre-compliance run on that board (schematic and PCB analyzers plus the EMC rule checker, target EN 55032 Class B) returned 87 findings and a risk score of 0 / 100: no EMI filter at the harness terminal, Ethernet and USB pair skew (91 ps and 38 ps), pair layer changes without ground vias, 18 nets with partial reference-plane coverage, 22 layer transitions without a stitching via, ESD parts away from their connectors, a 38 mm² buck input loop. Reading the design against the standards adds: a 600 W input TVS where Core uses a 6.6 kW part, no ESD protection at the SMA port, EFR32MG21 and CMT2300A chip-down with no module certificate to reference, the EN 300 328 power-spectral-density limit that keeps EU BLE advertising and 802.15.4 well below +20 dBm, and FCC 15.203 on the detachable 433 MHz antenna. Safety: 8–32 V DC only, lowest electrical energy class; a 2 A fuse at 32 V exceeds the 15 W power-source threshold, so material ratings and the fuse rating need evidence.

  1. New evaluation evaluations/emc-safety-certification.md: conclusion, approvals per market, EU and US / Canada standards, module versus chip-down path per transmitter, the pre-compliance findings with a judgement per class, design gaps A / B / C, EN IEC 62368-1 assessment, differences for the entry product, test sequence, unverified items.
  2. Spec R1.2: §3 gains REG-01…05 (approval scope, emissions, immunity and supply transients, region-locked radio parameters, electrical safety); §7 is restructured around the standards table and points to the evaluation; §8 gains AIR-O-14 (markets, EFR32MG21 chip or pre-certified module, US 433 MHz antenna interface, lab plan and quote); the "+20 dBm" wording is qualified by region.
  3. Guide R0.8: trace rows for REG-01…05, V-15 pre-compliance and V-16 formal testing, D0 / D1 gates.
  4. Package index row, reference-board page §8 row, changelog, task and plan.

No schematic or board change in this task: the A-class fixes change the BOM and the board and are listed for the owner.

  • The clause mapping is not a lab's test plan; versions, limits and port classification need a lab's confirmation.
  • Requirements written before a lab quote may need re-wording when the plan arrives.

Docs only: 1 new evaluation, spec, guide, package index, reference-board page, changelog, task / plan.

  • Only answer in chat: leaves the specification without certification requirements.
  • Apply the A-class schematic fixes now: changes the BOM and forces a re-layout before the owner has chosen the certification path.
  • 2026-10-06: owner asked for the assessment and for certification in the product specification; taken as approval for the documentation scope above.
