Air Hub spec R1.5 (commit e40e748) has three products:

  • Air Hub (AH-19, 59 USD): MYZR SSD2351 stamp-hole core board (platform H15, −20…+70 °C, no CAN controller) + EFR32MG21 + ESP32-C6 (Wi-Fi, configuration, CAN via TWAI under GW-11). BOM 30.1–37.1 USD against a cap of 19.18–22.13.
  • Air Hub Pro (AH-20, 119 USD): RK3506J stamp-hole core board (H12, 256 MB + 256 MB NAND, native CAN) + EFR32MG21 + ESP32-C6 (Wi-Fi, configuration) + CMT2300A. BOM 37.6–44.6.
  • Air Hub Mini (AH-21, 49 USD): ESP32-C6-WROOM-1 as the only controller.

SSD202D is no longer selected anywhere; it survives as platforms H1 / H2, as the R1.0 alternate named in the AH-19 row, and in the evaluation records. The owner now drops the SigmaStar path and locks the Linux products on RK3506G (128 MB + 256 MB) and RK3506J (256 MB + 256 MB).

Findings:

  • RK3506G2 (H6): QFN128, 128 MB DDR3L in package, 3×A7 + M0, 2 native CAN, 2 RMII, chip −20…+80 °C. The spec lists it only chip-down; no core-board platform row exists for it.
  • Vanxoak HD-RK3506G-128F256LW: 128 MB + 256 MB NAND, 35×35 mm, 128 stamp holes, 5 V input, −20…+70 °C, pin-compatible with HD-RK3506J-256F256LI (the Pro board). Ebyte ECK41-E1N2-N is a second RK3506G 128 + 256 board (29×25 mm, −25…+85 °C, different footprint). No price is published for either (LCSC and web checked 2026-10-12).
  • Because the two Vanxoak boards share a pinout, one baseboard can serve Air Hub and Air Hub Pro; the Pro first board (reference-board page §7.3) already exists.
  • With native CAN on RK3506G the ESP32-C6 no longer has to be the CAN controller on Air Hub, so GW-11 would have no product left (the Mini is covered by GW-14).
  • The SSD2351 schematic project (/srv/ybo/switch/air_hub/) and its five diagrams become obsolete.

BOM by the reference-board method (USD), RK3506G board unquoted, placeholder 8.5–12.4 (upper bound is the RK3506J placeholder of 88 CNY):

Item Air Hub now (SSD2351) Air Hub on RK3506G
Baseboard electronics 16.3 15.9 (Pro baseboard 18.2 less the 433 MHz link 2.3)
Core board 6.8 8.5–12.4 (placeholder)
Electronics 23.1 24.4–28.3
Connector, enclosure, SMT and test 7.0–14.0 7.0–14.0
Total 30.1–37.1 31.4–42.3
Gap to the 59 USD cap 8.0–17.9 9.3–23.1

Spec P05-air-hub.md R1.6:

  1. §1 / §2.1 / §2.4: Air Hub = RK3506G stamp-hole core board, 128 MB + 256 MB NAND; Air Hub Pro = RK3506J stamp-hole core board, 256 MB + 256 MB NAND; BOM and gap as above.
  2. §2.2: new platform row H17 RK3506G (stamp-hole core board), native CAN, core board −20…+70 °C; H1 / H2 (SSD202D) and H15 (SSD2351) marked withdrawn 2026-10-12 and kept as evaluation records. §2.3: AH-19 becomes H17 + native CAN + R1.
  3. GW-11 marked as applying to no selected product (kept for the record); GW-13, SEC-05, §4–§7 follow (ESP32-C6 on Air Hub is Wi-Fi uplink and configuration channel only).
  4. AIR-O-03: SSD2351 items closed as withdrawn; open items become the RK3506G board quote, 128 MB memory headroom for the Rust services with BlueZ / ot-br-posix / Matter, and thermal margin at +70 °C. §9 change-log row.

Design appendix (scheme H: both Linux products on RK3506 core boards, one baseboard), reference-board page (Air Hub pin allocation and BOM follow the Pro board with the 433 MHz link unpopulated; §7.1 SSD2351 schematic marked superseded, diagrams removed from the page), guide, brief, index, platform evaluation §4 / §8, switch line spec and index, product plan, open questions, compliance matrix. Changelog, task and plan status.

Decisions requested (recommended first):

  1. CAN on Air Hub: native RK3506G CAN; the ESP32-C6 keeps only Wi-Fi and configuration. Alternative: keep CAN on the C6 (GW-11 stays).
  2. Baseboard: one shared baseboard for Air Hub and Air Hub Pro on the pin-compatible Vanxoak boards, 433 MHz link unpopulated on Air Hub. Alternative: a separate smaller Air Hub board.
  3. Temperature: accept the RK3506G board at −20…+70 °C for Air Hub (same range as the SSD2351 board it replaces), thermal margin to be measured.
  4. Prices: unchanged (49 / 59 / 119 USD), gaps recorded.
  5. Schematics: no schematic or PCB regeneration in this task; the SSD2351 project is marked superseded.
  • Air Hub BOM rises by about 1.3–5.2 USD and stays over its cap at every point.
  • 128 MB for the Rust host services plus BlueZ, ot-br-posix and Matter is unproven.
  • The RK3506G board price is a placeholder; the two products differ only by core board and 433 MHz, so the 60 USD retail difference rests on about 2.3 USD plus the core-board difference.
  • Single core-board vendor if the shared baseboard is tied to the Vanxoak pinout.

About 14 documentation files; no code, no schematic or PCB.

  • Keep SSD2351 for Air Hub (lowest quoted core board, no native CAN, separate baseboard).
  • RK3506G2 chip-down (H6): LCSC 13.48 USD @100 for the chip alone, more than a core board.
  • 2026-10-12: owner dropped the SigmaStar path and locked RK3506G (128 + 256) and RK3506J (256 + 256) plus the ESP32-C6 product.
  • 2026-10-12: owner asked whether a Wi-Fi + Bluetooth combo chip on RK3506G could replace the ESP32-C6; the saving is about 1–1.5 USD and the owner kept the C6 ("保留C6"). Taken as approval with the recommended decisions 1–5.
  • 2026-10-12: implemented. The compliance matrix needed no change (radio composition is unchanged). The five SSD2351 schematic diagrams in bizplan/product/diagrams/ are no longer referenced and were left in place.
