20260929-0027-air-86-enclosure-and-peripherals Size the Air enclosure to the 86-type wall-plate standard and lock its peripheral circuit

  • status: completed
  • createdAt: 2026-09-29 00:27
  • approvedAt: 2026-09-29 (owner: "然后开始做文档" after both proposals; recommended options taken)
  • relatedTask: 20260929-0027-air-86-enclosure-and-peripherals
  • Spec P05-air.md R0.6 §2: about 60×60 mm, total thickness ≤12 mm, adhesive or screw base, battery replaced without removing the base; same figures in the brief §6 and product plan line 181. No document in the repository mentions the 86-type box.
  • 86-type is the Chinese wall-accessory convention: 86×86 mm plate, two fixing screws 60 mm apart into a flush box. The 60 mm spacing also fits the common European round flush box; the US single-gang box (83.3 mm spacing) does not match. On boats most Air units go on panels without a box, so the base must also work with adhesive or direct screws.
  • Design appendix R0.4 §3–§5 lists peripheral requirements (reverse protection, storage cap, battery measurement, clocks, RF, LEDs, keys) without chosen parts; guide R0.2 §6 still asks for "BLE 与备选 RF 对比" at D0, which the SoC lock made obsolete.

Spec P05-air.md → R0.7:

  1. §2 outline row: 86×86 mm front plate (86-type), total thickness ≤12 mm unchanged; Air 2 and Air 4 share the outline.
  2. §2 mounting row: back plate with two fixing holes at 60 mm for an 86-type box (also fits 60 mm European round boxes), usable with adhesive or direct screws on a panel without a box; the front module clips to the back plate and the battery is replaced by removing the front module, never the back plate. US single-gang boxes are not supported.
  3. AIR-O-05 wording: stack-up verified in the 86-type outline.
  4. §9 change-log row.

Design appendix → R0.5:

  1. §3 diagram and §5 table: peripheral choices per decision G.
  2. §7 structure: 86-type back plate, clip-on front module, battery access from the front module's rear, key caps for 2 / 4 keys on the 86 plate.
  3. §8 change-log row.

Guide → R0.3: §6 D0 becomes "nRF54L15 实板功耗与射频演示" plus the authenticated onboarding demo; V-08 adds 86-type box fit (60 mm holes) and front-module removal cycles; §5 EOL adds the locked peripheral checks; change-log row.

Factory reset (added 2026-09-29, owner: "需要可以重置设备到初始化状态"); applies to the BLE and 433 models. Today SEC-04 and spec §6.5 only say "恢复出厂按授权流程处理" without a device-side procedure:

  1. New AIR-12: a local physical reset returns the Air to the unpaired factory state. Erased: bonds and session keys (BLE and 433), bindings, configuration, health and diagnostic settings. Kept: serial number, factory identity and pairing code, current signed firmware and its anti-rollback version. Counters of the erased keys become irrelevant because any re-pairing creates a new key; the reset never re-enables a used key.
  2. Trigger per decision M; the LED confirms (amber blink during the hold, then a distinct pattern on completion); an interrupted reset (battery removed mid-erase) completes on the next power-up and never leaves a half-paired state.
  3. The reset needs no hub authorization because it only destroys the Air's own credentials; re-joining still requires the hub's authorized ≤60 s window (SEC-01). If a hub link exists at reset time the Air sends an authenticated leave notice so the hub marks the binding removed; otherwise the old binding stays until removed in Mate / Studio, and the hub rejects it because the key is gone. SEC-04 and §6.5 are reworded to this.
  4. Guide: V-03 adds reset tests (old key rejected after reset, no control action generated, re-pairing only in an authorized window); V-09 adds power loss during reset; EOL §5 keeps the existing factory-reset step.

Brief §6 and product plan line 181: outline text. Changelog, task, plan.

Decisions needed (recommended default first):

  • E. Mounting: (E1, recommended) 86-type back plate that also takes adhesive or panel screws; (E2) 86-type box only.
  • F. LED: (F1, recommended) one red/green bicolour LED per unit (amber = both), lowest current and cost; (F2) one bicolour LED per key.
  • G. Peripherals (lock as a set unless the owner changes a line): 32 MHz crystal plus 32.768 kHz crystal; nRF54L15 internal DC/DC with the inductor from the Nordic reference; low-threshold P-MOSFET reverse protection plus a keyed holder, no series diode; low-leakage ceramic storage capacitor sized from measured end-of-life droop; battery voltage read through the SAADC internal VDD input with no divider (NRF_SAADC_VDD, confirmed on Nordic DevZone 121340); PCB inverted-F antenna with a π matching position; PCB NFC loop with tuning capacitors; tactile switches rated ≥100 000 cycles under rocker caps.
  • M. Reset trigger: (M1, recommended) hold keys 1 and 2 while inserting the battery and keep them held ≥5 s; needs battery-compartment access, so it cannot happen by accident on the wall and a passer-by cannot trigger it; (M2) hold keys 1 and 2 ≥10 s in normal use, easier but reachable by anyone at the switch; (M3) a recessed reset button inside the battery compartment, one extra part.
  • The 86 plate is larger than 60×60 mm: more material and a larger adhesive area on curved panels; retail price target $59 unchanged until D0 quotation.
  • Clip-on front with a coin cell must still meet the child-resistant battery access in AIR-01 (tool or two simultaneous actions).
  • The DC/DC inductor value is not yet confirmed against the nRF54L15 datasheet; the document will cite the Nordic reference rather than state a value.

About 7 documentation files: spec, design appendix, guide, brief, product plan, changelog, task/plan indexes. No code.

  • Keep 60×60 mm: rejected by the owner.
  • 2026-09-29: owner added factory reset to the device ("需要可以重置设备到初始化状态").
  • 2026-09-29: implemented with E1, F1, G and M1: spec R0.7, design appendix R0.5, guide R0.3, brief, product plan outline row and the stale Air SoC line in §7 of the product plan. Gate passed.
