2026-10-14 Air Hub supply range 9–36 V instead of the family 8–32 V

The Linux carrier board of Air Hub and Air Hub Pro moved its 5 V rail from a discrete LMR36520 buck to a Mornsun K7805-2000R3 switching module (8–36 V input, 5 V / 2 A). The owner set the Air Hub supply range to 9–36 V continuous for all three products.

P05-air-hub.md R1.8 states 12/24 V nominal, 9–36 V continuous (§2.4, GW-05, §5). The upper bound covers 24 V systems with margin above the family 32 V; the lower bound is 1 V above the family 8 V.

Easier: one 5 V module on the carrier with a wide input and fewer buck components. Harder: on a 12 V system a deeply discharged battery or a starter dip to 8–9 V is outside the guaranteed range, so Air Hub may reset where Core and Key keep working; sales and installation material must state 9 V. The input stage drawn for 32 V must change before 36 V continuous holds: the 5.0SMDJ33A stand-off (33 V) is below 36 V (spec AIR-O-04). At the sunset date, either amend the family rule for Air Hub or bring the lower bound back to 8 V.
